Knesset Steering Committee Meets; Fails to Set Date for First Session of New Parliament

The 20 member Parliamentary Steering Committee held its first meeting today but failed to agree on setting a date for the new Knesset’s first business session. The committee, which elected Mapai deputy M. Argov chairman, also failed to appoint the members of the Parliament’s nine standing committees.
