Arenka Mansoor, the Jewish girl whose romance with a young Moslem threatened to provoke Arab-Jewish rioting in the British crown colony of Aden, is believed to have been married to her Moslem sweetheart. A special session of the Supreme Court authorized the marriage although the court had previously ruled that the girl remained Jewish.

The Jewish Community Council of Aden, in a cable to the World Jewish Congress, made a further plea for help. It declared that the girl, who had run away from home, had been held by Moslems against her will and wanted to be reunited with her family. The cable asked urgent dispatch from London of an official commission of inquiry.
