President Truman was told today by Paul Ginsberg, national commander of the Jewish War Veterans, of the organization’s plans to organize a boycott against goods manufactured in communist countries.
In a visit to the White House, Ginsberg pledged that the 110,000 members of the J.W.V. would support the drive. The President was invited to the J.W.V. annual national commanders’ dinner to be held in New York September 30 but declined because of previous commitments. The J.W.V. announced that it will present awards at the dinner to Warren Austin, American delegate to the United Nations; FBI director J. Edgar Hoover, and to Milton Katz, who represented the ECA in Europe.
