Canadian Government Reports Rise in Jewish Immigration

A rise in the number of Jewish immigrants entering Canada is reported in the figures released here by the Immigration Branch of the Department of Citizenship and Immigration.

The number of Jewish immigrants, listed as “Hebrew,” admitted to Canada in July, 1951, was 671. In July, 1950, only 175 Jewish immigrants entered Canada, according to the government department’s report.
