Strike of Locomotive Engineers Paralyzes Israel Rail Traffic

A strike of locomotive engineers yesterday paralyzed rail traffic throughout the country.

Sponsored by the Haifa Labor Council, the strike was called in support of demands for a wage increase. Large quantities of perishable goods have begun to pile up in the port of Haifa.
