Joint Defense Appeal Adopts $5,077,040 Budget for 1952

The national council of the Joint Defense Appeal concluded its three-day meeting here last night with the adoption of a national budget of $5,077,040 for 1952 to be used by the American Jewish Committee and the Anti-Defamation League of the B’nai B’rith in combatting bigotry and discrimination in the United States.

Sidney S. Moyer of Youngstown, Ohio, was re-elected chairman of the J.D. A. national council. Paul H. Samplinger of New York was re-elected chairman of the executive committee. The 350 delegates who attended the parley pledged “full community support” to the J.D.A. agencies in their “pro-democratic efforts. ” The J.D.A. is the fund-raising arm of the American Jewish Committee and the Anti-Defamation League.
