Striking Seamen Dragged off Ship by Israeli Police Several Injured

A number of Israeli seamen were injured at Haifa today when policemen boarded the vessel and forcibly ejected tile striking crewmen. The seamen offered only passive Resistance.

It is expected that the police will take similar action tomorrow against seamen aboard, the S. S. Negba who are also on a sitdown strike to prevent volunteers furnished by the Histadrut from taking over their jobs. A number of Italian sailors were flown to this country today to operate strikebound vessels.
