A resolution deploring increasing intermarriage of Jews in the United States was adopted here today at the conclusion of an all-day session of the Orthodox Rabbinate of America, a group of Orthodox rabbis.
The group decided to conduct religious seminars for those contemplating marriage. “We hold that the first essential of a happy marital union is a religious marriage and concecration ceremony by a duly ordained rabbi,” the resolution says.
