Prominent German Scientists Join “peace with Israel” Campaign

Many prominent German scientists, artists and political figures have joined the “Peace with Israel” campaign, it was reported here today. From Frankfurt, it was reported that the university there has scheduled a three-day series of lectures on the theme of peace with Israel.

Erich Leuth, information officer of the West German Government and initiator of the German “peace with Israel” movement, today obtained an injunction against Veit Harlan, leading German film producer under the Nazi regime.

Harlan, producer of the film “Eternal Beloved, ” the showing of which has resulted in anti-Nazi demonstrations, accused Leuth of being a Nazi and in a speech at Erlangen last week charged that Leuth, as late as 1944, had been composing hymns to “Adolf the Great.”
