Jewish Newspaper Calls on Jews to Aid Catholic Hospital

The Israelite Press, a local Anglo-Jewish weekly newspaper, has called on the Jews of this city to rally to the support of St. Boniface Hospital, a local Catholic institution which is seeking funds to build a new building estimated to cost $5,500,000.

In its editorial appeal, the Israelite Press points out that St. Boniface Hospital has treated persons of all race, color and creed equally and that the “hospital also is entirely free of religious discrimination in the employment of its medical and nursing staffs, taking into consideration only their abilities to serve the patients.” The newspaper points out that the same cannot be said about several other hospital in the city.
