A Purim party for Jewish members of the U.S. armed forces in the Paris area today launched the activities of the newly-formed Jewish Welfare Board Armed Services Committee of Paris. In addition to soldiers from the immediate area, a group of men were brought to the party from the Orleans area.

The J.W.B. Armed Services Committee of Paris was organized under the direction of the National Jewish Welfares Board of New York, to meet the growing need for providing hospitality and special services to American Jewish soldiers visiting Paris. The committee consists entirely of American Jews resident in France. Emanuel Rosen is chairman.
