Strong police detachments last night cordoned off the Arab village Rama, in Upper Galilee, after the inhabitants overpowered a number of food control officers who came to receive olive oil from the villagers.

The villagers refused to comply with the order and wounded several policemen. When reinforcement arrived, part of the oil was delivered while a search for the remainder continued. The authorities estimate that the villagers possess 100 tons of oil.
