The 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hashomer Hatzair settlement in 1927 was celebrated here by the American Hashomer Hatzair and the Organization of Americans for a Progressive Israel. Zvi Lurie, member of the Jewish Agency executive and principal speaker at the celebration, reported that the Hashomer Hatzair collective settlement movement had increased from 40 settlement 25 years ago to 66 settlements today.
