British Envoys in Middle East Summoned to London for Parley

British Foreign Secretary Anthony Eden has summoned home all British envoys stationed in Middle East countries for a conference on the position of British troops in the Middle East and on the oil situation, it was learned her today. The parley will take place at the end of June.

The last time such a meeting was called was in 1949 when Ernest Bevin was Foreign Secretary. Participating in the conference will be the Ministers to Egypt, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Libya and Israel.
