The golden “Cross of Merit” of the International Union for Child Welfare was today awarded to Mrs. Vera Weizmann, wife of the Israeli President, for her work in behalf of the Youth Aliyah movement.
At the Union’s session here, which just concluded, the OSE was represented by Dr. L. Gurvitch and Dr. H. Klee of Geneva and Abel Shaban of Johannesburg. The Youth Aliyah delegation consisted of I. Margalith and Dr. H. Reinbold of Tel Aviv. N. Sutro of Zurich and Mrs. M. Warburg of London.
