More than 60,000 Jewish DP’s have received training to fit them for new lives in Israel and elsewhere in ORT schools in Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland, Dr. A. Syngalowski, chairman of the World ORT executive, today told a session here of the ORT central board.
Speakers at the opening session included the U.S. Minister to France and the French Minister of Information. A message was received from French President Vincent Auriol praising the ORT’s “great human work.”
