A new department in Medieval and Modern Hebrew Literature has been established at Amsterdam University today. The head of the new chair is Dr. Josef Melkmann, editor of the Dutch Jewish weekly, “Nieuw Israelitisch Weekblad,” who is also the representative of the Jewish Agency in Holland.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
