More than 400 American Jewish service personnel stationed in France, Germany and other European countries were to be guests of the Paris Armed Services Committee of the National Jewish Welfare Board at New Year services here conducted by U.S. Army Chaplain Morton Lifshutz. French synagogues loaned Scrolls, an Ark and prayer books for the services, while French Jewish families opened their homes to the GI’s.
