M.R. Springer, honorary secretary of the Agudas Israel world executive, today conferred with Baron Lothar Wimmer, Austrian Ambassador to Britain, on the Jewish claims for restitution and reparations against Austria.
An Agudah announcement on the meeting said that Mr. Springer had conveyed to the Ambassador the active interest of Orthodox Jews in this affair and had been told that his views would be transmitted to the proper Austrian authorities. The Agudah said that it had learned that the Austrian Government would welcome the cooperation of representative Jewish groups on this issue.
