Full agreement on coordination of the Israel bond drive in the United States and the United Jewish Appeal has been reached among Premier David Ben Gurion, U.J.A. executive vice-chairman Dr. Joseph Schwartz and Jewish Agency chairman Dr. Nahum Goldmann, it was reported today by the latter at a meeting of the Jewish Agency executive.
Dr. Goldmann told the executive that it is anticipated that the projected coordinating committee will soon begin to function. Dr. Schwartz, who attended the meeting of the Jewish Agency executive, gave a brief analysis of the progress of the current U.J.A. campaign and the prospects for next year.
Later, before emplaning for the United States, Dr. Schwartz told newsmen that he would be continuing as director of the U.J.A. for 1953. He revealed that he had been offered the presidency of the Hebrew University, but refused to comment on the offer, pointing out that his U.J.A. duties would occupy his time for the next year.
