Israel has obtained $500,000 worth of credit in Italy for the purchase of cotton yarn from this country, it was learned today.
The yarn will be used for the manufacture of stockings and knitted garments. It is believed that these purchases will cover the gap between current cotton supplies and the demands of the Israeli domestic market. The credits were obtained by Y. Lamdan, head of the textile and leather division of the Israel Trade Ministry.
