Ambassador Eban, accompanied by Dr. Martin Rosenblueth, representative of the Israel Ministry of Finance, today conferred with Henry Morgenthau, Jr., and Henry Montor. After the meeting, Ambassador Eban said:

“I am confident that the difficulties which had arisen in the administrative relations of the Government of Israel with the leaders of the Israel bond organization will shortly be overcome as a result of an awaited communication from Mr. Ben Gurion. I appeal to all supporters of the Israel bonds to maintain and intensify their efforts without interruption.”

Ambassador Eban and Mr. Henry Morgenthau, Jr., will jointly lead the Big Day activities arranged by the bond organization for Dec. 14. (From Jerusalem it was reported today that Levi Eshkol, Israel’s Finance Minister, cabled Mr. Montor inviting him to come to Israel for consultations in connection with the resignations.)
