A pioneer pilot-project to obtain part-time positions for recipients of pensions, social security and old-age assistance is being under taken by the Federation Employment Service, Walter A. Miller, president of the F.E.S., announced today at a press conference.
Aim of the program is to improve the economic status and psychological outlook of men and women 60 years and over by providing them with part-time jobs to supplement their limited income. Mr. Miller said this program is being added to the regular vocational services provided by the F.E.S., an affiliate of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York.
