A subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee today heard a representative of the American Jewish Congress condemn the Bricker Resolution, a proposal which would prevent the United States Government from ratifying such international covenants as the United Nations Convention Against Genocide and the Covenant on Human Rights.

Will Maslow, general counsel of the American Jewish Congress, told the subcommittee that the resolution for a Constitutional amendment would prevent the U. S, from joining in or demanding UN investigations of anti-Semitism in the Iron Curtain countries. “We cannot exercise influence in world affairs, if in advance we turn our backs upon the rest of the world,” Mr. Maslow said.
