Gov. Dewey Proclaims “jewish Child’s Day” in New York State

Declaring that the plight of hundreds of thousands of Jewish children overseas commands “the interest and support of all compassionate men and women,” Gov. Thomas E. Dewey today proclaimed Sunday, April 12th, as Jewish Child’s Day in New York State.

The observance of Jewish Child’s Day will be part of a worldwide commemoration of World Jewish Child’s Day proclaimed by the Youth Aliyah Department of the Jewish Agency. Hadassah is the official representative of Youth Aliyah in the United States.
