Pinhas Lavon, Israel Cabinet Minister, will arrive here tomorrow to participate in a speaking tour for the Israel bond drive which will take him to major cities throughout the nation.
Dr. Avraham Biran, District Commissioner of Jerusalem, who has come to this country to visit a number of American cities for the hound drive, was officially greeted at New York’s City Hall yesterday by Mayor Vincent R. Impellitteri.
Mayor Impellitteri today proclaimed the week of May 4-10 as Pioneer Women Membership Week and the week of May 10-17 as Mizrachi Women’s Membership Week. In two separate proclamations, the Mayor called the attention of New York residents to the “worthy projects” sponsored in Israel by the two Zionist women groups and urged full support of them.
