Ford Foundation Approves $125,000 in Grants for Haifa Technion

Grants totaling more than $125,000 have been approved by the Ford Foundation for scientific research at the Israel Institute of Technology, it was announced here by Technician authorities. The research, which will for the most part be carried on by Technician personnel, will deal with various aspects of the economy and future of Israel.

A complete “Report on Israel” issued by Louis A . Nevins, American expert who surveyed the needs of the country in behalf of the Ford Foundation, has just been made available. “The economy and future of Israel or any other Near Eastern country depend on the reclamation of man-made desert and wastelands,” the report states.
