Rabbi Maurice N. Eisendrath, president of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, today said that he would propose to Lessing J. Rosenwald, president of the anti-Zionist American Council for Judaism, that he visit Israel and satisfy himself that even from the purely American point of view the United States should support Israel.

The leader of American Reform Jewry, who is now examining the possibility of establishing a Reform movement in Israel, stressed that Israel is the “only” democratic bastion in the Middle East and is opposed by feudal and reactionary Arab states.
