A comprehensive program for equipping ORT vocational schools in Israel with machines, tools and supplies has been adopted by the National ORT League here. The plan was voted at the conference of the League’s administrative council, attended by representatives of many national and local lands-manschaften and fraternal organizations, under the chairmanship of M. Maldwin Fertig, president.

According to the plan, the required materials will be obtained as gifts from manufacturers, industrialists and communal groups. Schools furnished with machines by communal organizations will be named for the organization. Proper recognition will likewise be given to individual donors. The conference was addressed by Moshe Rivlin of the Israeli Consultant’s Information Department who described ORT’s role as a major contributor toward the creation of a skilled labor force.
