Bina Abramovitz, known as “the mother of the Jewish stage,” died here last night at the age of 88. She was one of the most gifted Jewish actresses. Born in Saratov, Russia, she came to the United States in 1886. She appeared for many years in the Yiddish Art Theatre and other Jewish theatres in this country.
