Yom Kippur Services Tomorrow to Be Marked by Appeals for UJA

American Jews during Day of Atomenent observances, which start tomorrow evening, will be urged in congregations throughout the country to assure success in the next three weeks of an emergency drive by the United Jewish Appeal for $25,000,000 in cash with which to meet the winter relief needs of 515,000 homeless and distressed men, women and children in Israel and other parts of the world.

Joseph Holtzman, national cash chairman of the UJA, reported that pleas in behalf of the UJA would be made following the Kol Nidre service tomorrow evening, and during the solemn all-day service on Saturday. He noted that the pleas would call special attention to official termination of the $25,000,000 drive October 10 and 11 at a National Report Conference in Cleveland, Ohio.
