Hayim Schauss, prominent Jewish historian and writer, whose works have appeared in this country in Yiddish and in English, died here today. He was 69 years old.
Born in Lithuania, he immigrated to the United States in 1910 and became a Hebrew teacher. He later published a number of works on Bible criticism, Jewish traditions and Jewish history, including a four-volume “History of the Jews.”
