Moses A. Leavitt, executive vice chairman of the Joint Distribution Committee, announced today the appointment of Aubrey Mallach as deputy director of Malben, the committee’s program in behalf of aged, ill and handicapped newcomers to Israel. Mr. Mallach left today for Israel for his new post. To accept the new appointment, he resigned as deputy executive director of the Health and Welfare Council of New York City.
