Two Jewish Communities Merged in Germany; Will Seek Legal Status

The Jewish congregations of Muenchen-Gladbach and of Rheydt have been merged into a single community at a membership meeting attended by a majority of the Jewish residents in the neighboring industrial cities. Chairman of the new community, which will seek to obtain the status of a corporation under public law, is Kurt Hecht.
