Denver Jew Learns His Land Has $100,000,000 Worth of Uranium

Lawrence Kalish, 53-year-old Jewish community leader active in the affairs of Beth Israel Hospital here, has just learned that land he owns at nearby Central City contains fabulously rich uranium oxide ores.

It is estimated that the ores are worth more than $100,000,000 dollars. Mr. Kalish will receive 15 percent of the gross value of all ores extracted from his land, He has already turned down an offer of $2,000,000 from a Denver mining company for his rights in the property. He has owned the land for 20 years, since he prospected for gold on it.
