Jacob Blaustein, president of the American Jewish Committee, conferred at length today with Henry A. Byroads, Assistant Secretary of State, in a general review of the situation in the Middle East, including Israel,. Among the matters discussed were the Jordan River project, economic and military assistance in the area, and the United States and UN attitudes.
