Dr. Izidor Shalit, One of Oldest Zionist Leaders, Dies in Israel

Dr. Izidor Shalit, one of the last surviving delegates to the First World Zionist Congress at Basle, died here last night after a long illness. He was 83. Dr. Shalit had served as secretary to Dr. Theodor Herzl, founder of modern Zionism, for a number of years.
