Minister of the Interior Israel Rokach will introduce in Parliament this week an amendment to the Israeli “Law of Return” which gives every Jew the right to settle in Palestine. The effect of the amendment would be to give the authorities the right to bar convicted criminals whose presence in Israel would constitute a threat to the wellbeing of the country. The amendment will be submitted to the cabinet this week and then introduced in Parliament.
