Top Israel Civil Servants Get Salary Increase; Strike Averted

The Cabinet approved today a new scale of salaries for the higher categories of civil servants, thus ending the threat of a strike of top government employes. Salaries in the highest grades of the service were almost doubled and proportionate raises were granted in the lower categories. The increases are retroactive to last October.
