The last two works of the late Jewish composer Arnold Schoenberg were given their world premier here by the Radio Symphony Orchestra of the Northwest German Broadcasting Network. Both works were derived from Jewish religious motifs and were to be part of a cycle of 12 works setting Psalms to music. The cycle was interrupted by his death three years ago.
