Plans and scale models of the first section of the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical Center to be built in this city were exhibited to the press today by the architect who drew them up, J. Neufeld.

The first section, the architect revealed, will include a 430-bed hospital with attached research facilities needed for a teaching hospital. In addition, a nursing school for 150 students, an out-patient clinic capable of handling 1,000 patients a day and a medical school will complete the section. The buildings will provide a total of 45,000 square meters.

The second section to be built when the medical center is ready for expansion, Mr. Neufeld revealed, will bring the total bed capacity to 750, will add schools of dentistry and pharmacy and will have separate children’s and cancer hospitals.
