Bruce McDaniel, retiring head of the United States economic aid mission to Israel, last night expressed confidence in Israel’s future as well as in the enduring strength of Israel-American friendship.
Addressing a symposium, together with his immediate aides, Mr. McDaniel described the work of his mission as: technical assistance, economic aid and counterpart funds. He revealed that in the last named category, the U.S. supplied $180,000,000 while Israel matched it with the equivalent of $137,000, 000.
