A delegation from the Commission on the Status of Jewish War Orphans, led by British Chief Rabbi Israel Brodie, has called on the Netherlands Ambassador in Britain to request that the Dutch authorities implement earlier decisions to restore to the Jewish community the two Jewish war orphans now in Catholic hands, Anneke Beekman and Rebecca Melhado. The Ambassador promised to convey the views expressed to him by the delegation to his government.
