Resolutions condemning distribution of hate literature and racial and religious discrimination at resorts were adopted at the convention of the Vermont Federation of Labor which was held at Barre.
The organization voted to support measures to guarantee equal opportunities and to outlaw discrimination when such measures are introduced in the State Legislature.
The convention also condemned “certain groups and people who have deliberately spread lies against various racial and religious groups and have acted to incite intergroup hatred and conflict.” All members of the Vermont Federation of Labor were called upon to “denounce and counteract the un-American activities of those who would sow religious and racial hatred among our people. “
