The Israel Government has sent a representative to Moscow to confer with Soviet officials on an offer by the USSR to expand trade with Israel, it was reported by the London press.

The dispatch, from Haifa, said that the USSR had invited Israel to broaden trade between the two states beyond the present barter arrangement under which Israel exchanges citrus fruits for Soviet crude and refined fuel oil.
