Israel and Rumania signed a $2, 500, 000 trade agreement here yesterday, the first such pact between the two states. Israel will purchase Rumanian oil, timber and chemicals in return for textiles, pharmaceuticals, refrigerators and razor blades. A Rumanian delegation began a tour of Israel industrial plants today to order items included in the agreement.
(It was reported in London today that the Rumanian Government has demanded that Israel recall Daniel Laor, First Secretary of the Israel Legation in Bucharest, whom the Rumanians charge with having attempted to help a Rumanian national escape the country. The charge was that Mr. Laor had furnished a forged passport to lancu Aron Grinberg, a Rumanian national working for the Legation staff.)
