Israel is returning to the Israel-Jordan Mixed Armistice Commission October 20, it was announced officially today.
The Israel Government’s action followed the appointment of Lt. Col. Charles F. Brewster as chairman of the MAC, succeeding Commander Elmo R. Hutchinson. Israel began its boycott of the MAC seven months ago, after Commander Hutchinson refused to find Jordan responsible for the Negev massacre of 11 Israelis near Scorpion Pass.
