Arabs, Israel Cooperate Within International Labor Organization

Israel and the Arab states cooperate within the International Labor Organization, United Nations affiliate, David Morse, director general of the organization, declared in an interview here. He praised the work of Israel’s delegation to the organization.

During the just completed meeting of the ILO governing body Israel was elected to membership on three more committees–textile, building and chemical industry units. M. Becker, a member of the Israel delegation, hailed the friendship for Israel and for the Histadrut encountered within the ILO.

Shimon Yallon, commercial attache at the Israel Legation here, expressed his government’s disappointment today to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization over the fact that Israel was excluded from the recent Middle East regional conference on locust control. M. Cardon, director general of the FAO, said that Israel’s exclusion was the result of Arab refusal to join in any regional arrangement with the Jewish State. He promised to keep Israel posted on regional matters.
