The deep interest of the Canadian Government in the welfare of the people of Israel was lauded here last night by Leon D. Crestohl, M. P., at a national convention of the Zionist Men’s Association.

Mr. Crestohl paid particular tribute to T. McDermot, Canada’s Ambassador to Israel, and Maj. Gen. E. L. M. Burns, United Nations truce supervisor in Palestine. He said that their activities had added considerably to the prestige which Canadians–Jews and non-Jew alike–enjoy in Israel. Nathan Simpson of this city was elected president of the association to succeed Milton Klein.
