The special income tax levied on members of the Jewish community of this city to meet the budgets of communal institutions has been increased from 2.2 percent to 2.7 percent, the community announced today. The tax will bring in sufficient income to cover a budget of 810,000 Swedish crowns for 1955, an increase of 51,000 crowns over last year. The largest part of the budget is covered by this assessment, the remainder coming from interest on investments and other income.
